Wednesday's Racing

There is a maximum wind limit of sustained 22 knots to start a race and sustained 25 knots to continue a race.  While setting up for the second race today, the RC was reading winds close to, but not over, the maximum.  However, there had been a problem with the genoa head webbing on the supplied jibs that had resulted in two failures during the first race (both boats were awarded redress) and several other boats were having a similar problem as the RC was setting up for the second race.  It was decided that there was too great a risk of more breakdowns and racing was ended for the day.  All of the sails have gone to the sail loft to be repaired overnight and will be ready for racing on Thursday.
